Warner Robins man sentenced to prison for soliciting sex from minor
A Warner Robins man will spend five years in prison after trying to set up a sex encounter that he believed would involve a 14-year-old girl and her father..
Timothy Charles Strickland, 61, will serve the time in prison as part of a 15-year sentence after pleading guilty in Bibb County Superior Court to one count of computer pornography and child exploitation and one count of criminal attempt to commit a felony, according.
Strickland was arrested in 2015 at a Macon motel after setting up a meeting with the father and daughter for sex. Instead, he had actually responded to a Craigslist ad posted by an undercover police officer, the release said.
Strickland will also have to register as a sex offender.
