50 years of Northside High ‘Feels So Good!’
Northside High School has something to celebrate this year — the 50th anniversary of the first graduating class of students who attended all four years after the school was built in 1963. The Class of 1967 will celebrate that milestone on Sept 16.
Trisha Pendleton Salata, known as Pat Pendleton back in the day, is the Northside High School 50th Reunion Committee Chair and is excited about the theme “Reunited and it Feels So Good!”
”Our class of 1967 is the first class to complete all four years, freshman to senior, at Northside High School,” Salata said. “There was not a senior class the first year the school was built.”
Reunion day starts at 11:45 a.m. for alumni with an open house at the school hosted by Northside High. Attendees are asked to meet at the front of the school for a photograph before the tour. The celebration continues that day from 6 -11 p.m. for a meet-and-greet, dinner buffet and live music. The evening location is the VFW, 1011 Corder Road, Warner Robins.
Invitations were sent in April to all confirmed known addresses. “We are still looking for a small group of classmates and have posted their names on our Facebook page,” Salata said. “If room is still available, we will notify anyone from either school (Warner Robins or Northside highs) that would like to attend and has registered on our waiting list.” The Facebook page is Class of 1967 Northside High School (NHS) 50th Reunion and has a picture of the school back in 1967.
The registration fee is $50 and should be submitted by July 1.
More details and an entire reunion packet are available by calling Trisha Pendleton Salata at 478-501-1008. The packet includes a self addressed envelope with an information sheet detailing the event.
