Perry interviewing fire chief candidates

The Perry City Council will interview candidates next week for its vacant fire chief position.

Mayor Jimmy Faircloth said there are several candidates to interview. A called meeting is set for 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall. A second called meeting is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The council will go into closed session for the interviews.

Faircloth said he is not certain when a decision will be made.
