Four people indicted in Perry business burglary
PERRY -- A Houston County grand jury has indicted four people in connection with a Perry business burglary in which a safe was stolen.
Two of those indicted this week were working at the Subway restaurant at 1412 Sam Nunn Blvd. when it was burglarized earlier this year, police said. Brooke Paige Lawson, 18, of Perry, and Tristan Marie Fuller, 29, of Kathleen, who no longer work there, were each indicted on a charge of theft by taking.
Lawson, along with Ronnie Obarr Hamrick, 32, of Perry, also were indicted on a burglary charge. Kevin Blake Barwick, 26, of Warner Robins, was indicted on a charge of theft by receiving stolen property.
According to police, the burglary and theft of the safe were discovered Feb. 16.
The investigation led police to Savannah Apartments at 120 Ignico Drive in Warner Robins. Police found the safe and some of the stolen money in Barwick’s apartment, said Perry police Capt. Heath Dykes.
The value of the safe and cash inside it was greater than $1,500, according to the indictment.
Also, Barwick faces an unrelated charge of robbery, a crime he’s accused of committing while on bond in connection with the Subway burglary, according to Houston County Superior Court records.
He has been held in the Houston County jail since Sept. 1, according to jail records. He faces a bond revocation hearing Thursday.
