Macon man found dead in swimming pool
A Macon man died Sunday after he fell into a swimming pool.
Jessie Johnson, 55, was found in the pool of his home at 205 William and Mollies Walk, said Bibb County Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.
He had gone out into the backyard to do some work, Miley said, and his wife went to check on him about 45 minutes later. She found him in the pool and called 911. He was pronounced dead at 12:47 p.m. at the Medical Center, Navicent Health.
Miley said it's uncertain how Johnson ended up in the pool, which had about six feet of water in it. An autopsy will be performed to determine whether he drowned or suffered from a medical condition that caused him to collapse and fall.
