Miss America Betty Cantrell to present at AMAs; Jason Aldean nominated for 2 awards

Two celebrities with ties to Middle Georgia will be part of the American Music Awards Sunday.

Miss America Betty Cantrell, of Warner Robins, will be among the presenters at the show, and country musician Jason Aldean, who is from Macon, has been nominated for two awards.

Aldean was nominated for Favorite Male Artist-Country and Favorite Album-Country for "Old Boots, New Dirt." The album includes the song "Gonna Know We Were Here," and the music video for the tune was shot in Macon.

Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez will host the live broadcast, which will air on ABC at 8 p.m.
