Warner Robins man’s last wish: Don’t vote for Hillary

Chester F. “Chet” Lambert made no secret about his political leanings. Over the years, he was a frequent letter writer to The Telegraph and other newspapers, and those notes often bashed Democrats.

But Lambert, an 82-year-old Air Force veteran who was eulogized Monday, shared his convictions to the end -- including his obituary.

The obit noted the usual -- his military background, work and extensive volunteer initiatives, as well as his service to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Perry.

Then it closed with this request:

“Finally, it would have been Chet’s sincere wish that to honor his memory his friends not cast votes for Hillary Clinton.”
