Man says he was shot in argument over car repair
A man told Bibb County sheriff’s deputies he was shot Saturday during a dispute over a car repair.
Darrin Lewis, 51, said he was shot in the left leg by Marquez Treshad Tuff, 27. Deputies are now looking for Tuff.
The shooting happened at about 4 p.m. at 3415 McKenzie Drive, according to a sheriff’s office release. Deputies found Lewis sitting in a chair at the residence with a gunshot wound.
Lewis said Tuff, his stepdaughter’s boyfriend, had paid him to do some work on a vehicle and Tuff was not satisfied with the work. An argument ensued and Lewis said Tuff pulled out a gun, shot him in the leg, then ran.
Lewis was treated at the Medical Center, Navicent Health. Tuff is described as a black male, approximately 6-feet tall, weighing 195 pounds.
