Warner Robins woman runs red light in fatal Broadway accident, Bibb deputies say

A 68-year-old Warner Robins woman died Wednesday after colliding with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Broadway near downtown Macon.

Just before 3:30 p.m., Gloria Holmes was headed west on Eisenhower in a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, and ran a red light as she was turning left into the path of a 2002 Freightliner tractor trailer heading north toward town on Broadway, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Holmes was taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health, where she was pronounced dead.

The triver of the truck, James Harrison, 49, of Danville, was not injured.
