Macon’s Russell Henley make a big move up the leaderboard Friday in the second round of the British Open.
Henley, who shot a 2-over-par 74 on Thursday, bounced back nicely with a 6-under 66 on Friday. Henley is 4 under entering the weekend and he finished his round tied for 18th, a move of 91 spots on the leaderboard.
The Macon native and former Stratford and Georgia standout had seven birdies and one bogey in his round. He birdied four of the first eight holes for a front-nine 32 and finished his round with a birdie on No. 18.
