The Macon Mayhem introduced Kevin Kerr as their first head coach Wednesday.
The minor league hockey team begins play this fall.
Kevin Kerr, who in 2005 became the all-time leader for minor league professional goals, retired with 677 goals scored in a career that spanned from 1987 to 2005.
“Career-wise, this felt like the right time for this,” Kerr said. “When I reached out (to Mayhem president Mark Richards) we talked about how the Thrashers left Atlanta. Macon can grab this team as its own.”
