Hatch reaches 100

Macon native and Murray State head football coach Chris Hatcher this season became the youngest coach in the 21st century to record his 100th coaching victory. In his 11th season as a head coach, Hatcher is 100-32.

Hatcher earned his 100th win on Nov. 20 when the Racers defeated Tennessee State.  Hatcher was 37 years-274 days at the time of the victory.

Hatcher also ranks as the fifth youngest coach to reach 100 victories in NCAA history, ranking just behind Pop Warner and just ahead Amos Alonzo Stagg.

In his first season with the Racers, Hatcher led them to a 6-5 record for their first winning season since 2004. The Racers started the season 1-4 but won five of their final six games. Three of their losses came by a total of 14 points, and Murray State scored at least 60 points twice.
