Bobcats sign three

The Georgia College baseball program and head coach Tom Carty signed three junior college student-athletes, one of whom will begin playing in the upcoming spring season.

Left-handed pitcher Mike Guinane will play for the Bobcats this spring. The Glenview, Ill., native comes to Milledgeville from John A. Logan Community College. Guinane went 7-4 with a 3.82 ERA, and struck out 59 and allowed 71 hits in 66 innings.

Joining the Bobcats next year will be Darin Wiltgen, a right-handed pitcher from Sparks, Nevada. Wiltgen currently plays for Mesa Community College (Ariz.), and he went 4-1 with a 2.85 ERA.

Also coming in 2012 is Hayden Martin a left-handed pitcher from Valdosta. Martin battled a leg injury at Chattahoochee Valley Community College (Ala.) and threw only 15 innings
