The Mercer Bears fell to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the A-Sun with a 77-65 loss to Lipscomb on Saturday night.
Brian Mills led the Bears with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Langston Hall had 13 and Jeff Smith had 10 for the Bears, who return to action Friday at home against Navy.

Tommy Williams had 16 points, while Desmond Lofland and Detrius McCall each had 15 as the Wildcats improved to 2-4.

Mercer freshman Brittnee Hazel had a career-high 21 points on eight-of-nine shooting from the field, but the Bears dropped to 1-6 overall and 1-1 in the A-Sun.

The Georgia College women’s team suffered its first loss of the season. Chimere Jordan had a team-high 20 points, and she also had nine rebounds and three assists.
Fort Valley State 67, LeMoyne-Owen 55
The Lady Wildcats improved to 2-3 with a home win over their SIAC opponents.
Spelman 62, Wesleyan 43
The Pioneers were led by Bridney Green’s double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds), while Ciara Walker had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Middle Georgia College 80, Clinton 66
Zandra Green scored a career-high 31 points as MGC improved to 9-2. Jazzmin Grove had 20 points and Clarion Macon added 10.
