The Hawks learned their playoff schedule Thursday, and as the third seed, the Hawks will take on Milwaukee in the first round. Here's the schedule for the first-round series:
Saturday: Milwaukee at Atlanta, 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Milwaukee at Atlanta, 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 24: Atlanta at Milwaukee, 7 p.m.
Monday, April 26: Atlanta at Milwaukee, TBD
x-Wednesday, April 28: Milwaukee at Atlanta, TBD
x-Friday, April 30: Atlanta at Milwaukee, TBD
x-Sunday, May 2: Milwaukee at Atlanta, TBD
This is a pretty good matchup for the Hawks. The Bucks have a young team, and they don't have a lot of experience in the playoffs. And Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut won't play in the playoffs, so that's another big plus for the Hawks, along with having the home-court advantage during the series.
The two teams played three times during the season with the Hawks winning twice (106-102 and 104-96) and the Bucks winning once (98-95).
It should be a fun series throughout, and a key matchup could be Joe Johnson vs. John Salmons. Salmons has been a big boost for the Bucks since being traded from Chicago, while Johnson can be a scoring machine when he wants to get that going.
