Hayward keeps interceptions coming for San Diego

Casey Hayward got his sixth interception of the season Sunday as the San Diego Chargers knocked off the Houston Texans. Hayward also had five tackles and three passes defensed.

Here’s a look at how the other Middle Georgians in the NFL fared this weekend:

Darqueze Dennard (Twiggs County) Cincinnati: Eight tackles against Baltimore.

Bud Dupree (Wilkinson County) Pittsburgh: Two tackles and one quarterback hit against Indianapolis.

Leonard Floyd (Dodge County) Chicago: Inactive against Tennessee.

Kareem Jackson (Westside) Houston: Four tackles against San Diego.

Charles Johnson (Hawkinsville) Carolina: Two tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit against Oakland.

Abry Jones (Northside) Jacksonville: Inactive against Buffalo.

Marquette King (Rutland) Oakland: Five punts, 48.0-yard average against Carolina.

Keith Mumphery (Dooly County) Houston: Played three plays on offense, three eight plays on special teams against San Diego.

Steven Nelson (Northside) Kansas City: Inactive against Denver.

Demarcus Robinson (Peach County) Kansas City: Played 12 plays on special teams against Denver.

DeAndre Smelter (Tattnall Square) San Francisco: Practice squad.

Demaryius Thomas (West Laurens) Denver: Five catches for 60 yards against Kansas City.

Erik Walden (Dublin) Indianapolis: Three tackles against Pittsburgh.
