Alumni update: Westside product working through injury

Eric Thomas got a taste of what a postseason run feels like last year.

Thomas, a 2014 Westside graduate, was on the roster at Wesley College, an NCAA Division III program in Dover, Delaware, that reached that division’s semifinals before falling to powerhouse Mount Union College.

The quarterback spent time on Wesley’s varsity and JV squads, making the travel list for three varsity games as a reserve.

Thomas will miss the 2015 season, taking a medical redshirt to heal a shoulder injury. An MRI exam is forthcoming.

“I’m just trying to rehab, hurry up and have surgery and get ready for next season,” Thomas said.
