Missed chances and offensive miscues doomed Laney in its season opener as Dublin shut out the Wildcats 3-0 on Friday night at Lucy C. Laney Memorial Stadium.
In its first game under new head coach Rodney McFadden, Laney showed inexperience and failed to capitalize by falling short in the red zone three times. It was the program’s first shutout loss since Washington County blanked them 38-0 in 2013.
