Buford led 30-15 at halftime, but converted four straight Model turnovers into points for a 38-15 lead before two minutes had elapsed. The margin grew to 30 early in the fourth quarter.
Model was without leading scorer Janaye Jasper, who twisted her knee in Thursday's semifinal win over Henry County. Model had trouble with a soft press by Henry County, and had no answer for Buford's defense, keyed by 6-foot-3 senior Blanche Alverson at the top of the press.
