Tattnall Square's Andrews chooses Valdosta State

Tattnall Square’s Colby Andrews will continue his football career at Valdosta State, signing a scholarship in front of family and teammates. Andrews, a three-year starter at defensive tackle for the Trojans, was one of the main cogs in a defense that led the Trojans to two GISA championships and one runner-up finish in his three years.

”I have to work hard to play at Valdosta State,” Andrews said. “Their coaches have said that I will have a chance to play in my first two years if I work hard, and that’s what I plan to do. I had a great visit, and I love the campus I like the fact that they are a winner. Coming from a program like Tattnall, that was important to me.”

Andrews chose Valdosta State over Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern, where at both places he would have received preferred walk-on status.
