Warner Robins dominated Carrollton on Friday night in the GHSA 5A playoffs, winning 63-24.
Carrollton started the game strong, taking an early lead within the first two minutes of the first quarter. The Demons struck back with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Jarius Burnet. During the first half, both teams went back and forth with scoring plays, going into the half with the Demons leading 28-17.
In the second half, Warner Robins dominated both sides of the ball, scoring 21 unanswered points in the third quarter. Going into the fourth, the Demons looked unstoppable, scoring a touchdown in the opening minutes. In the fourth quarter, the lights went out with nine minutes remaining, causing a 20 minute delay. Carrollton capitalized on the first play coming out of the light delay bu scoring a 39-yard touchdown. Warner Robins scored one last touchdown in the fourth to close the game.
Three who mattered
Julius Cobbs: Senior wide receiver for Warner Robins caught passes for 117 yards on the night, including a touchdown.
Dylan Fromm: The Demons junior quarterback threw for 334 yards and rushed for 89 yards, including three rushing touchdowns and three passing touchdowns.
Jarius Burnett: The senior running back rushed for 60 yards and caught passes for 55 yards, including three touchdowns.
After the first half, Warner Robins scored 21 unanswered points, shutting down Carrollton’s offense.

Warner Robins head coach Mike Chastain: “I feel great, our guys came out and played we had a great week of preparation. The coaches had a great plan and they executed tonight. This team tonight was a good football team they did not make plays and we made plays. At this point in the game you just have to go out there and make plays. Hopefully we will continue you to do what we did tonight and get two more games under out belt.”
