Who’s In?

Thomas County Central (6-3, 2-1), Bainbridge (3-5, 2-1), Warner Robins (3-6, 2-1), Veterans (5-5, 2-2).

Scouting report

Three teams are 2-1, and Thomas County Central faces fifth-place Harris County, which is done after Friday. And Veterans is in but stuck at fourth.

Warner Robins is at Bainbridge likely for second (unless Harris County pulls off the upset). Bainbridge is a tough scouting report, having hammered Veterans but only just gotten past Harris County last week. Of course, the Demons are anybody’s guess, too, having gone from giving up 89 points in one two-week span to only 16 in the next two, thriving after changing offensive philosophies.

Veterans finished the regular season last week with a loss to Warner Robins, missing out on a chance for a top seed.

In the first round

The region might have to battle to not get swept by Region 3-5A, considering only one team in Region 1-5A is above .500, thanks to some very tough schedules but no attention-getting non-region wins. Region 3-5A has three teams (No. 7 Griffin, Whitewater and Starr’s Mill) at 4-1, and all three are above .500 overall, as is Riverdale (6-3, 3-2).
