The GHSA cross country championships will take place Friday and Saturday in Carrollton.
Class 1A private, Class 2A and Class 7A competition will take place Friday, while the remaining classes will take to the course Saturday.

Class 1A Public Boys (2 p.m. Saturday): GMC; Bryce Murkerson (Hawkinsville), Jared Taylor (ACE).

GISA Cross Country
Trinity Christian-Dublin runners dominated the GISA cross country championships Saturday, with the boys taking the top three individual spots and the girls winning the Class 3A meet in Augusta.
Jacob McLeod won the race in 15:45.12. Teammate Quillan Holland was second in 16:31.76, while Landon Logue was third in 16:47.39. Trinity Christian finished fourth as a team, with John Milledge placing seventh, Westfield 11th and Gatewood 15th.
Trinity Christian won the girls Class 3A title. Karmen LeRoy finished second, crossing the line in 19:39.05. Ansley Long placed fourth in 19:44.01, while Janie Samson was 10th in 20:31.98. Westfield was 12th, and John Milledge was 13th.
Brentwood’s Michael Ann Hood won the girls Class 2A title, finishing in 21:52.25. Teammate Erica Kay placed eighth in 23:42.09 as Brentwood won the team competition by two points over St. George’s Episcopal. Twiggs Academy placed fifth.
Twiggs Academy’s Owen Nobles placed ninth in the Class 2A meet, finishing in 18:34.97. Brentwood finished ninth as a team.
GICAA Cross Country
Covenant’s boys finished third in the GICAA Division I championship meet held Saturday at the Macon Industrial Children’s Home. Jordan Steffen led the way for the Rams with a fifth-place finish in 18:31.66, with Ben Kilgore finishing sixth in 18:32.92.
Covenant’s girls finished fifth.
