Georgia guards Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann both worked out for their home-state NBA team Thursday.
Gaines and Mann both participated in workouts with the Atlanta Hawks with the NBA draft approaching on June 23. Gaines and Mann wrapped up their four-year careers with Georgia this past season, with each helping to improve the state of the program over the past two seasons.
For Gaines, working out with the Hawks was the third time he’s done so with an NBA team. He’s also worked out for the Houston Rockets and the Utah Jazz.
Following Mann’s workout with the Hawks, he’ll meet with the Charlotte Hornets for a scheduled workout on Friday. These two are Mann's first NBA workouts with more expected to come, according to a team representative.
Gaines averaged 12.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game as a senior. Mann averaged 10.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game during his final year.
