Georgia senior guard Shacobia Barbee has played her final collegiate basketball game.
On Tuesday, Georgia head coach Joni Taylor announced that Barbee fractured her left distal fibula in the Lady Bulldogs' win over Florida on Sunday. Barbee underwent surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
"Shacobia underwent surgery (Tuesday) to repair a fracture that occurred in our last game against Florida," Taylor said. "You can’t say enough about 'Cobi' and the tremendous contributions she has made to Georgia Basketball. We look forward to her full recovery, and I know that other players on our team are ready to step in during her absence."
Barbee sustained the injury in the second half of Sunday's game. She averaged 12.7 points and 9.1 rebounds this season.
