Georgia receiver and return specialist Isaiah McKenzie is not expected to play this Saturday against Missouri, head coach Mark Richt said on Tuesday.
“We don’t see McKenzie being ready,” Richt said.
McKenzie suffered an injured hamstring two games ago against Alabama and missed last Saturday’s loss to Tennessee. Without McKenzie, Georgia went with Reggie Davis as the team’s primary punt returner. Davis returned one punt 70 yards for a touchdown and earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.
McKenzie could have a shot at returning for Georgia’s Oct. 31 game against Florida. Following Saturday’s game against the Tigers, Georgia has a bye the following week.
