ATHENS -- Georgia redshirt freshman linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes will transfer to another school to seek more playing time.
"I love Georgia and appreciate the opportunity I had to be a Bulldog," Bing-Dukes said. "However, I think my opportunities to play and contribute more will be better at another school."
Bing-Dukes graduated Tucker High School in 2014 and was redshirted in his first year on campus.
Georgia previously looked at moving Bing-Dukes to fullback but head coach Mark Richt said that scenario didn't come up recently. Richt complimented Bing-Dukes on giving fullback a try but said "his heart is at linebacker." Richt added that Bing-Dukes was sad to leave but that he wanted an opportunity to see the playing field.
