ATHENS -- Former Georgia tight end Jack Loonam will make one more appearance inside Sanford Stadium.
Loonam, who was a member of the Bulldogs from 2011 through 2014, will be commissioned as an Army officer this Friday at Sanford Stadium at 10 a.m. While a member of Georgia's football team as a walk-on, Loonam was also a member of the university's Army ROTC program.
Loonam, a native of Lexington, S.C., saw his first game action in his career against Charleston Southern last year. That game also happened to be Georgia's Military Appreciation Day. Loonam graduated from Georgia with a degree in management this past May.
