Georgia receiver Malcolm Mitchell is excited for the new Uga to be introduced.
He just doesn’t want to wait for it.
Previously, Uga’s handler Charles Seiler revealed that Uga IX, also known as Russ, will retire and that there will be an Uga X in his place. The front-runner is Que, a 1 ½-year-old English bulldog, who made an appearance at Georgia’s Countdown to Kickoff earlier this summer.
Mitchell would like to see Uga X brought in for the season-opener against Louisiana-Monroe.

“I would like to see him for the whole season if you ask me,” Mitchell said. “I would like for him to be there from the beginning until the end, so hopefully, we see him on day one.”
