HOOVER, Ala. — LSU's Leonard Fournette is an impressive running back in his own right.
As a freshman, Fournette ran for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns, which are impressive numbers for any runner in any class. Despite his own accomplishments on the football field, Fournette conceded the conference's best running back tag to someone else.
“I met Nick (Chubb) in high school. He’s a great person. He’s a great running back. I think he is hands down the best running back in the SEC," Fournette said. "I’m competing against him every day.”
It's hard to argue with Fournette's belief, considering Chubb ran for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns a year ago. More impressively, Chubb posted those numbers without starting in Georgia's first five games of the 2014 season.

Earlier this offseason, Chubb, according to offensive lineman Hunter Long in a tweet, said he doesn't use social media because he's like a Lamborghini and doesn't have to advertise. Fournette was asked what kind of car he would be since Chubb is like a Lamborghini.
“(I would be) a Bugatti. That’s my favorite car," Fournette said. "I want to buy that when I get older. Lamborghinis are fast too."
