HOOVER, Ala. — Nick Chubb was among five Georgia football players named to the 2014-15 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Chubb, an agriculture and applied economics major who ran for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns as a freshman in 2014, joined Jeb Blazevich (risk management), Malkom Parrish (business), Dyshon Sims (unspecified) and Rutland's Shakenneth Williams (early childhood education) on the list. As a school, Georgia totaled 63 student-athletes on the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, which ranked fifth in the conference.
To make the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, players must be on scholarship or a letter winner, complete a minimum of 24 semester hours and have a post a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
