ATHENS - Former Georgia football player Johnathan Taylor is still awaiting arraignment, five months after being charged with felony assault.
Taylor was indicted Nov. 24, according to Athens-Clarke County district attorney Ken Mauldin. The next step is arraignment, a date for which has not been set yet, Mauldin said.
Taylor was arrested on July 22 on a felony charge of assault and domestic battery, after an altercation with his girlfriend. He was dismissed from the team upon his release from jail the next day.
A once-promising prospect, Taylor appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman in 2013, recording nine tackles and one sack.
