11 Northside seniors sign letters of intent; four sign with Division 1 schools

All the hard work the Northside seniors have put into the football program - a 44-1 record and two straight GHSA Class AAAA titles - has led to 11 of them signing letters of intent today.

Four of them, quarterback Marques Ivory, wide receiver Kevyn Cooper, wide receiver Nick Bass and offensive lineman Jerome Bibbins are signing with Division I programs. Ivory and Cooper will be teammates at Jacksonville State, Bass and Bibbins signed with Georgia Southern.

Bass' decision wasn't made until the past weekend. Bass went on a visit to Georgia Southern on Saturday and was impressed.

Running back Tijuan Green, the 2007 All-Middle Georgia Football Player of the Year, signed with with Northwest Mississippi Community College. He hopes to go to Florida State after spending two years at Northwest.
