Georgia Tech quarterback Joshua Nesbitt on Thursday evening surpassed former Clemson quarterback Woodrow "Woody" Danztler for first-place on the ACC's quarterback career rushing list.
He did it on one play.
With a third-and-1 on the Yellow Jackets' own 29, Nesbitt kept the ball on a QB keeper to the right and weaved and cut his way back toward a 71-yard touchdown run that gave the Yellow Jackets a 14-0 lead with less than five minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Dantzler, who set the total in 2001, ended his career with 2,761 yards rushing.
Nesbitt also surpassed 6,000 career total yards on the play. (That includes rushing and passing).
The 71-yard run was the longest of his career.
