Good, bright, sunny, HOT Friday morning to you all. We've got another big ACC contest for Georgia Tech on tap tomorrow afternoon as the Yellow Jackets face a streaking (speaking of red hot) North Carolina State team. The noon game will be the Wolfpack's first conference battle of the year; the Yellow Jackets, of course, are fresh off that key road win over North Carolina last week.
To get you ready, I've got a video here detailing the five things the Yellow Jackets MUST do in order to keep the Wolfpack in check, and remain undefeated in the conference and in white-out games (this is the third-straight season the Yellow Jackets have hosted a white-out, after beating Clemson last fall and Miami the year before). So do check out the video; got a little long-winded today because they're a lot of details the Jackets must hammer out in order to get the win.
Oh, and speaking of hot... I went to Georgia Tech's "T-Night" festivities last night to get a gauge of what the event was like. I've heard about it each of the years I've been covering the team, but had never been. We definitely didn't have anything like that at my college, but I'm seeing purple fever has finally caught on. (They're supposed to be dying fountains in Evanston purple this weekend, too) During the T-Night festivities, however, GT chaplain Derrick Moore spoke about the temperature of athletics at Georgia Tech. He said they were "sizzling."
A conference championship, a couple individual championships and trips to conference and NCAA tournaments last season, make it hard to dispute that point.
