Julian Burnett, a former standout at Westside High in Macon, has really turned heads his entire time at Georgia Tech. The wide-bodied, strong, fast, physical linebacker has gotten on the field often during his two-year tenure, even starting three games as a true freshman last season.
Things have been a little tough defensively for Julian as he's been thrown into a deeper mix of interior linebackers than he was last season. That depth has forced him -- as Paul Johnson said during his news conference Tuesday -- to get a little lost on the depth chart. Johnson is trying to use him as best as he can, and right now, that entails a ton of kick coverage. And boy, is Burnett a beast on kick coverage. He, and true freshmen Jeremiah Attaochu and Fred Holton drew rave reviews from Johnson for their ability to get downfield and make key stops in the coverage game last week.
So now, how is he handling this slightly altered role, and how is the Middle Georgian loving Georgia Tech? You'll have to click the play button below to find out...
