After an 8-1 loss Sunday night at their home Russ Chandler Stadium, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets return to the diamond tonight for one final chance at extending their season and playing for at least one more week. With a win tonight over Alabama, they will host a Super Regional this weekend, playing either Auburn or ACC rival Clemson.
To get you ready for tonight's game, check out this video blog from Russ Chandler from The Telegraph's Coley Harvey. In this installment, he'll give you an idea of who's starting tonight on the mound for both teams, and what to expect for some other Monday drama -- the major league draft. At least two Yellow Jackets are expected to be first-round or sandwich-round picks. Watch to find out who they are. In the meantime, keep your computers and handheld devices locked to macon.com all week where we'll have baseball stories and even a football story or two as Macon hosts the annual Peach State Pigskin Media Kickoff on Tuesday. Tech head football coach Paul Johnson and players will join other coaches and players from Georgia schools to talk about their upcoming seasons.
That's all for now. Talk to you tonight. Also, be sure to follow me on Twitter (@macontechtalk), where I'll have occasional updates throughout tonight's game.
