Just got an email from the ACC detailing next week's (Oct. 10) TV and game time listings. You may or may not know that during the offseason, most conferences announce only three game times and TV listings for their teams, with the rest of the schedule to be filled in after the season starts. Mainly that's because the networks want to make sure that by late in the year, they're choosing good revenue-drawing games, and that they don't make the mistake of committing to a dud before the season starts. So for most teams, once you get past Week 3, the game times and TV listings are announced the week before the game is actually held.
So that means today the conference just announced an 8 p.m. kickoff for the Georgia Tech- Florida State game in Tallahassee, Fla. next Saturday. The game marks the first time the Yellow Jackets have traveled to Doak Campbell Stadium since 2003. Last year, Georgia Tech staged a dramatic goal line stand to beat the Seminoles in the closing seconds in Atlanta.
We don't know exactly what channel the game will come on, but we'll know that for certain by next Sunday. As it stands, the game will definitely be broadcast on the ESPN family, and could even be held as the primetime feature game on ABC.
