First things first, I'm sure you've heard by now, but the USA Today Coaches' and AP Polls came out again early Tuesday morning, and Georgia Tech stays right there in the middle of the pack.
The AP Poll keeps the Yellow Jackets at No. 15, as you can see from this poll on ESPN. And check out the Coaches' Poll, which pushes Georgia Tech from 15th, to 13th nationally. Knocking on the door to the top 10, a win Thursday night against Clemson would be invaluable for the Yellow Jackets.
We'll have more on their preparation for Clemson in the coming hours...but for now, let's settle this mystery about the TechTalk Twitter Question of the Day.
If you're following me on Twitter (and if you're not, you should be! @macontechtalk. sign up is free and easy), today's Question of the Day from Twitter said: " GT-Clemson series is an old matchup. What is the longest winning streak in the series, and which team holds it?"
The answer is Georgia Tech, which rattled off a string of 15 straight series victories between 1908 and 1934. The Yellow Jackets also had a 10-game winning streak in the series between 1953 and 1968. Currently, Georgia Tech has won the last two meetings.
OK, check the blog later in the day for more Tech news and analysis. And make The Telegraph and macon.com your one-stop shop for all things Georgia Tech on Thursday morning to get you ready for the Yellow Jackets' first conference game of the year.
