Henley tied for lead in Omaha

Macon native Russell Henley is tied for the lead of the Cox Classic in Omaha, Neb.

Henley shot his second 7-under-par 64 in three days to share the lead with Luke Guthrie heading into Sunday’s final round. The leaders are two shots in front of a group of three other golfers.

Henley is playing his best golf of the season. He has made three consecutive cuts for the first time on the Tour – formerly known as the Nationwide Tour – and is coming off his first top 10 on July 15.

Henley earned tour status by winning the Stadion Classic at UGA. A win Sunday would push Henley into the top 25 on the tour’s money list. Those inside the top 25 following the season receive PGA Tour cards.
