Rain pushes Warner Robins back a day

CEREDO-KENOVA, W.Va. — Warner Robins American Little League’s third game of pool play at the Southeast Regional tournament was postponed by rain Monday after an inning and a half.

The Warner Robins all-stars led Alabama’s state champs 6-0 when the game was delayed a second time by a steady downpour. The contest resumes at noon today and can be heard on macon.com.

Action will pick up in the bottom of the second inning, with Alabama runners at second and third and one out.

Warner Robins scored five runs on a hit and six walks in the first inning Monday. Blake Jackson tacked on another run in the second with a leadoff homer, his second of the game, to make it 6-0.

A Warner Robins win today clinches it a top seed in the elimination round scheduled to start Wednesday.
