Wake up Christians

It’s a sad day in America when a community can’t fly the Christian flag to express their beliefs and honor their God. The city of Cochran proudly flew the Christian flag at City Hall, but recently stopped flying it due to opposition. I understand why the city stopped flying it when they were threatened with lawsuits.

These United States were founded by Christians coming to this country seeking religious freedom to worship their God in peace and without fear from outside interests. This country has slipped backward over the years and now we are being told we cannot publicly lift up our Lord and Savior. Other religions pray in public and we’re told that’s OK. Christians, however, are told to be silent or you will be sued by minority interests.

I rode through downtown Cochran and was pleased to see the Christian flag being displayed by the majority of businesses. It’s time for all Christians to stand up and be counted, before the minority religions take away all our privileges to worship our God. Christians, it’s time to wake up.
