Georgia Senate, Bibb school board, other runoff races on Tuesday’s ballots

Voters across Middle Georgia will decide a handful of races Tuesday, including the hotly contested state Senate District 26 runoff matchup between incumbent Miriam Paris and former legislator David Lucas.

Three Bibb County school board races, which were postponed because of a lawsuit involving election maps, also are on the ballot, along with the runoff contest for the House of Representatives District 139 seat. In addition, there are runoff elections in Baldwin, Dooly, Hancock, Washington, Telfair, Wheeler, Taylor, Johnson, Wilkinson and Crawford counties, among others.

Polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., and a valid form of identification is required.
