The future of Taste of Macon still hangs in limbo. Chip Cherry, president and CEO of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, said organizers met Friday and are looking at “different alternatives including not having a Taste of Macon, to having a modified version of it, to having a full-blown event.”
A recommendation will be submitted to the chamber’s board of directors next week, he said, and he expects a decision by Friday.
The chamber of commerce coordinates the event, which is the city’s chance to show off its restaurants’ fare for state leaders during the annual legislative session.
