The new Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex was activated during a Tuesday morning ceremony at the Museum of Aviation.
As part of the ceremony, the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center and the 402nd Maintenance Wing were deactivated and replaced by the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex. It’s part of a reorganization plan aimed at reducing overhead costs at the Air Force’s three maintenance depots.
It is at least the most significant change at the base since 1974, when the Warner Robins Air Materiel Area was renamed the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, said base historian William Head.
