Mercer University’s law school is sponsoring a forum with the candidates for district attorney of the Macon Judicial Circuit on Tuesday, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the school’s moot courtroom, 1021 Georgia Ave.
The four candidates on the ballot for district attorney in the Nov. 2 general election are Gregory Bushway, David Cooke, Sharell Lewis and Greg Winters.
Mercer law professor Tim Floyd, director of the Mercer University Law and Public Service Program, and law professor Jim Fleissner, a former federal prosecutor, will serve as moderators. After the candidates present two-minute opening statements, the moderators will ask them a series of questions. After the question-and-answer period, each candidate will have two minutes for closing remarks.
