Mercer University announced Monday that Richard Swindle will concentrate on being the senior vice president for the school’s Atlanta campus.
Swindle previously held a dual role for the university: He also was senior vice president for university advancement. John Patterson, who served as vice president for development, will become the new senior vice president for university advancement.
Penny Elkins moves into the role of senior vice provost for strategic academic initiatives on the Atlanta campus. She was previously vice president of that campus, associate dean of the Tift College of Education and the Fred L. Miles Chair of Educational Leadership.
The appointments become effective Sept. 1.
