The Bibb County school system is holding public meetings at 6 tonight and 6 p.m. Wednesday asking for input regarding how to use School Improvement Grants.
The system expects to get up to $24 million over three years in federal funding to make drastic changes at Hutchings Career Center, Northeast, Rutland and Southwest high schools starting this fall.
Some of the changes will be hiring new principals at Hutchings and Southwest and Northeast high schools and requiring students to receive more instructional time, such as longer school days.
During the meetings, the public will have the chance to offer input to improve student achievement and fill out stakeholder input forms.
The meetings will be held at 484 Mulberry St., in the fourth floor boardroom. The public also can fill out forms online at www.bibb.k12.ga.us.
