Author forum tonight at Central High School

Central High School’s Parent Teacher Student Association is hosting its fourth annual author forum at 7 tonight.

The forum, which is free to the public, will be held in the auditorium at Central, 2155 Napier Ave in Macon.

The featured author is Alex Flinn, a young adult fiction writer from Florida.

Flinn is the author of seven novels, including “Breathing Underwater” and “Beastly,” which is being made into a major motion picture this summer, according to a school news release.

Flinn also will be available to sign copies of her books.

The forum is part of Central High School’s student book club, which was organized four years ago to get more students engaged in reading, sharing feedback on books read and to interact with different groups of students in their school.

Currently, about 95 students belong to the book club.
