Wesleyan named one of Forbes’ top colleges

Wesleyan College ranked 15th as one of the top 100 “Best College Buys” among American colleges and universities, according to Forbes magazine.

It marks the second year in a row the magazine has ranked Wesleyan on the list. In addition, Wesleyan ranked 96th overall among America’s Top Colleges, according to the magazine.

Other Georgia schools ranked in the Best College Buys list include the University of Georgia (No. 12), Georgia Tech (No. 27) and Agnes Scott College (No. 62). Berea College in Ohio ranked No. 1 as the best college buy.

Wesleyan and Emory University (No. 59) were the only two Georgia colleges listed among the top 100 schools overall. Of the 600 schools ranked, Mercer University was the only other midstate school to be included by the magazine, ranked 488th.

Both Wesleyan and Mercer also were ranked in the Princeton Review’s “Best 371 Colleges” list, which came out last week.
